A Kitsune Oracle native to Freehold. She dreams of rebuilding the world and nurturing life following the Twins’ massacre — though in the wake of the near-death experience that awakened her abilities, she has little patience for those who would impede her goal. As an emissary, she aids communication and cooperation between Zemian rulers, attempting to use her knowledge of nobility to keep the realm on a positive trend.
Her father is a low-ranking noble in Freehold. Her mother, also a Kitsune, had hid her nature from the public, but with Akemi’s birth the secret was out. She fled the city shortly thereafter, fearing what her presence and deception would do to her family’s reputation. Seeing Akemi’s idealistic fervor, her father used what was left of his status to help Akemi attain her station within the court.
Carries a letter from Galdo on behalf of Xaden Barlowe, which requests Freehold pardon him for his crimes. Though she does not approve of Xaden’s unwillingness to help without compensation, she’s happy to play nice—so long as he does, in fact, help.
